    Formula 1 car sings South African National Anthem

    Getting to see a Formula 1 car is a dream for most South Africans but dreams do come true!  This weekend Red Bull South Africa spoiled us with the Red Bull Cape Town Circuit, an event that brought former F1 champion David Coulthard to our shows with the championship winning 2011 RB7. Besides the actual event being outstanding, one thing that really got people talking was the ability of the V8 naturally aspirated engine to “sing” the National Anthem.

    As of Tuesday the 31st of October 2017, I will deliver my final show on Jacaranda FM’s evening drive show. After four wonderful years as part of the Jacaranda FM family, I am bidding a fond farewell to my mid-week listeners but will still be on air for the Saturday Top 20 show.     Ninety year old activist honoured, landmark book launched

    Freedom Park in Tshwane will be the centre of attention on 10 September as beloved city activist, Manibhen Sita, turns ninety years old. Sita, the daughter of Nana Sita, a contemporary of Mahatma Gandhi and herself a dedicated member of the United Democratic Front (UDF) during the anti-apartheid struggle, remains passionate about building bridges between South Africans of all races.  Sita will be honoured at a public birthday celebration at Freedom Park hosted by the Laudium Women’s Network (LWN).   Alongside the birthday celebrations, the LWN will also launch a book featuring original writing and artwork by women of Tshwane, addressing critical questions of identity and race for South Africans…

    Doc McStuffins got me creative

     If you haven’t heard of Doc McStuffin where have you been??? She is a young girl who cares for animals and toys in her playhouse clinic. Pretty much every little girls dream!!! Disney Junior is celebrating the third season where she adds another string to her bow and can now help pets!
